cityware
I want to suggest a possible idea that could change and transform the contingency of connectivity in the cityspace.
I want to share with you the creativity behind Hivenetworks. This ingenuous concept behind Hive is that each device that runs a hivenetwork has the possibility to store content such as sound, image, voice and data collectable through inputs and then it enables the transmission of this content to other wifi or bluetooth devices.
Now my idea is to combine the two practices…
Roomware has an exellent team that works on small range connectivity through bluetooth. What I had in mind is to see if the roomware project could extend its energy from the formation of singularly shaped content islands inside the city into extensive, multiple roomware networks inside the city. The result of this idea would be that each single roomware space has the capacity to multiply the range of physical presence of the cityscape and shape the way people communicate - bypassing commercial forces!
A great deal of perseverance will be needed to shape this concept, but there is an urge to reform urban networks in my opinion!
Sounds rather ingenious. I’m notcing a lot of people are thinking along the lines of taking their personal digital ‘profile’ on the road with them. This seems to be another variation on th theme with the added twist of automatically growing that profile as you move through life.
Do you know the people behind this project? COuld be interesting to invite them to the next meeting perhaps…
yes!
it will be possible indeed
